As many reports of Land mafia encroaching the prime land in Jammu has often been heard, a shocking incident has come to fore in which the goons have erected gates on the main road in Sainik colony extension behind Heritage school. 
The road on which the gates have been erected has been constructed by the PWD department and is used by a lot of people who stay in the Sainik colony extension. The gates were erected on the intervening night of 24th and 25th May and a complaint has already been filed with the Joint commissioner of Jammu Municipal Corporation by the residents of the area.
JMC assured the residents that the gates shall be removed within shortest period of time and the public road shall be opened for residents as they shall be left with no approach to their houses in the absence of this road.
